Hi! I'm Christi!
Thanks for stopping by to see what we are all about.
I started this journey with plans to get my post-five baby body back in action, and ended up doing that, changing my life and owning a business that allows me to help others do the same. Here's a little story about where I came from before all of this started.
I always loved fitness and enjoyed working out from home. I loved the gym in high-school and my early 20's but still found myself doing most of my workouts at home.
I was in the great shape for my wedding because of it! And then within that year we were expecting out first baby. Fast forward five years and I had a baby almost every year since.
It's no joke pregnancy and birth can do a number on our bodies, but it's also no joke that we don't have to stay that way.
Seriously. No joke.
This 'mom jean' term is overused. I am now wearing my pre-baby, pre-wedding jeans that are low cut and do NOT hold in any muffin top, because...I don't have one anymore!
So how did this happen and what does it have to do with you?
First, I watched info-mercials late at night while nursing my infant daughter #4. I bought a Beachbody program and loved it.
I did it a few weeks. Then, I honestly kinda forgot about it.
Then, I found out we were expecting our fifth baby. TOTALLY dropped the ball then.
Eight months after baby #5 was born, I was sick of feeling so tired and weak. I had no flexibility and couldn't even lift my legs up to put socks on without falling over.
Enter Beachbody round two. I started following a few people on Instagram and Facebook. I found these mothers with amazing strength and stamina and of course...beach worth bodies. That inspired me. What were they doing? Challenges with a coach.
A few weeks of playing stalker on their webpages and finding out how they were getting these results, led me to my Beachbody Coach who told me about the Focus T25 challenge pack.
I ordered it. I was ready. And she told me about how I could coach others and as people saw my life changing and my body transforming they would want help too. So, I signed on as a coach. It was very simple.
The hard part came when I got my
Focus T25 pack, and I had to take those grueling BEFORE pictures. UGH. The worst. I hated it. I didn't want to see it. Then I had to measure all those places I was trying to hide in my sweat pants and t-shirts. (Just kidding. I NEVER wear t-shirts). But, then something magical happened.
I started working out. Everyday.
I drank my nutrition boost, Shakeology. Everyday.
I was dying that first week. I mean, hurting and could hardly finish a full workout. (really, they are 25 minutes. I was just being a wimp and was really out of shape. (And breath).
But, the second week, was a different story. I was making it through each workout. I was feeling my body FEEL better.
The third week, I quit caffeine. Yep. Shakeology was all the boost I needed each day to make it through being a busy homeschooling mom to all my girls, and running my household all day. I wasn't crashing at night anymore. And, my infant daughter was still nursing happily.
(Side note, the
Shakeology is a dense dose of nutrition that most of us don't ever get in our regular meal plans and my kids love it and of course it gives a good power punch to breast-milk. I highly recommend it to nursing mothers even if you are not working out yet).
As the weeks went on, my clothes suddenly became too big and I had to pull out my 'pre-baby' clothes. My arms were looking strong and defined, my legs weren't flapping all over the place when I was working out...they were strong, solid.
And within 6 weeks I was 2 sizes smaller and 12 pounds lighter. I couldn't believe it.
I was eating 5-6 times a day to keep up my calories for my breast milk and my energy.
Clean, whole food. Water. Shakeology. Workouts.
About 6 weeks in, I looked at those grueling before pictures... finally. I really looked at them and then, took updated pictures and collaged them side by side. (See below.)
I was so proud of myself that day. I was doing it. It wasn't really that hard after all.
What was the difference maker though?
Everyday I checked into my challenge group with my coach.
Everyday I read her updates and posts on the challenge.
Everyday I checked in to see what others in the group were eating and doing and it made me want to keep going and do better. EVEN when I was doing this over Christmas and New Years. I didn't give up.
And, wearing the smallest jeans I ever bought, feels amazing.
Feeling strong and energetic, feels amazing.
Actually wanting to play at the park with my kids, feels amazing.
Turning my husbands head, feels amazing.
Being healthy on the inside and not dependent on anything (caffeine) and not weak with cravings (sugar), feels amazing.
They are actually pretty rare now. There are times I just want to gorge out on a giant burger, naturally. But our results are not dependent on what we do ONCE IN AWHILE.
It's what we DO ALL THE TIME, that matters.
Now, I know this
Beachbody thing works. I know the programs are amazing. I know the coaches are the most valuable part of this journey. I know that
Shakeology is worth it. I know my hair also grew like crazy! I know my kids see me differently now. They want to workout with me and run to the park. THEY want kale in their smoothies and want to drink Shakeology everyday.
And that's why I'm a coach now. I realized how easy it is to be there for someone else and what a difference that support I give them, can make in their lives. I want to do that for you.
Helping others realize that they can dream big, and then just ask for help to get there.
Want to loose that weight? Ok, lets do it.
Want to tone up what you got? Ok, lets do it.
Want to change your eating habits? Ok, lets do it.
Want to bring sexy back? Ok, lets do it.
Want to ace the next check up at the doctors office? Ok, lets do it.
Want to do a fitness competition someday? Ok, lets do it.
Want to play with your grand-kids with ease? Ok lets do it.
Want to prep for that wedding? Reunion? Vacation? OK!!!!
You see....you can have any dream you want. It has to start with YOU making a decision.
Believing you can do it and committing to it.
Then achieving that with me backing you up all the way.
So, what are you waiting for? I did it over the holiday season. There is best time to do it.
Just decide to.
I'm waiting.
